Overview
We are hiring a Software Developer III for the Chrome team in Waterloo, ON, Canada. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical projects for Google's fast-evolving business and technology landscape. You'll design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions with a focus on innovation and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to choose amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers, ensuring adherence to best practices (e.g., style guidelines, testability, efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content, adapting as necessary based on updates or user feedback.
- Triage and debug issues, resolving problems by analyzing their sources and impacts on hardware, networks, or service operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in academic or industry settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, resolution, and software test development.
- 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
