Full Stack Developer

goPeer is seeking a Full Stack Developer (Node.js, Vue.js, Serverless, and PL/pgSQL on AWS) to support the development of our core platform. We are looking for an experienced developer with an entrepreneurial spirit, driven to transform an industry through creativity and innovation. You will be challenged to think differently and contribute to goPeer’s vision. Reporting directly to the CTO and technical co-founder, your primary objective will be to refine the platform’s architecture while executing a detailed development plan.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the goPeer core platform and related tools and integrations.
• Provide recommendations for the optimization and enhancement of processes and systems.
• Advocate for the use of best practices in development and test-driven methodologies.
• Ensure that security and privacy considerations remain at the forefront of all decisions.
• Maintain technical documentation and assist in the preparation of end-user documentation.
• Focus on project timeline and deliverables to ensure priorities are tackled promptly.
• Work with stakeholders and customers to resolve deficiencies and process feedback.
• Bring a positive attitude to the team to fuel momentum and a healthy environment.

Skills and Qualifications

• University degree or College diploma in Computer Science, or comparable experience.
• 4+ years of relevant programming experience, bonus if in a related industry.
• Curiosity with a strong desire to learn and innovate, anticipate trends, and build futureproof systems.
• Able to work collaboratively with a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities while balancing objectives and overcoming distractions.
• Good working knowledge of agile methodologies and the application development lifecycle.

Preferred Technologies

• Proficient in current web development standards and frameworks.
• Strong development skills with experience in Node.js and Vue.js (or Angular/React).
• Database programming (Stored procedures/functions), NoSQL, and SQL, preferably PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL).
• Code management and version-control systems, preferably using Git.
• Serverless architecture and cloud infrastructure, preferably Amazon AWS.
• Good working knowledge in the design and development of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Project planning and collaboration tools, including the Atlassian stack.
