Overview

We are hiring a Staff Front-end Engineer to join our Retailer Tools & Program pillar. This role focuses on driving front-end platform evolution and tooling, collaborating with product, design, and marketing teams to enhance the retailer experience. You’ll have a direct impact on independent retailers' everyday buying experience while building tools for rapid experimentation and solving challenging engineering problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies on technology adoption and utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to business success.
• Oversee multi-phase projects across teams from concept to implementation.
• Optimize web applications for performance and scalability.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices in front-end development.
• Ensure a strong and positive experience for front-end engineers in the Toronto office.

Who You Are

• 7+ years of experience in front-end development.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and frameworks/libraries like React.
• Experienced in building responsive and user-centric web applications.
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
• Holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Excited to leverage technology to solve real-world problems.

Benefits & Perks

• Competitive salary ranging from $184,000 to $230,000 per year.

Office Policy

This role follows a hybrid model with in-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, effective January 2025.
