Overview

We are hiring a Senior Front-end Engineer to join our Discovery pillar. Our mission within our Discovery team is to provide an exceptional experience that allows customers to discover products and brands on the platform. As a Senior Engineer, you will work alongside product and design to ensure our customers have the best discovery experience possible.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineering managers, and other stakeholders.
• Share ownership of our product by contributing to ongoing improvements that enhance the customer experience.
• Define the technical direction and roadmap for the team.
• Drive technical improvements through multi-month projects.
• Set the technical direction for our server-driven UI framework.
• Optimize web applications for peak performance and scalability.
• Mentor fellow developers by sharing industry best practices.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in frontend development.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and frameworks/libraries like React.
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
• Experienced in leading technical projects from conception to execution.
• Passionate about creating high-quality, scalable, and performant code.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

• Competitive salary ranging from $156,000 to $195,000 per year.

Office Policy

This role follows a hybrid model with in-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, effective January 2025.
