Overview

We are hiring a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of integrative care by leveraging our mission and extensive data resources. This is a remote position for candidates located in Canada, with opportunities to connect in person as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems that will directly impact the success and growth of our organization.
  • Provide guidance and leadership in identifying and evaluating opportunities where machine learning and artificial intelligence can be leveraged to help practitioners deliver the best integrative care for their patients.
  • Collaborate with our Data and Engineering teams to establish and build the necessary ML infrastructure to support our goals.
  • Work with leadership to help understand opportunities where AI/ML can be leveraged to solve problems for practitioners and patients.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role, with a track record of successfully working cross-functionally with Engineering, Data, Product, and UX teams to bring ML solutions to production.
  • Experience with Large Language Models (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Claude) and LLM frameworks (e.g., Langchain).
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical models, and data mining techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with common machine learning tools and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with data transformation tools (e.g., dbt, Spark).
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Experience building recommender systems.
