Overview

We are hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer who will contribute to our customers' experience using Secoda and the overall success of the company. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with design, product management, and engineering to shape our core platform, improve performance, and influence our product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Work with designers, product managers, and other engineers to build features and improvements for the core platform (e.g., how to display data lineage that’s both performant and intuitive).
• Increase the scalability of Secoda’s platform (e.g., React component performance and reusability).
• Assist the customer success team in diagnosing and fixing bugs.
• Guide the product roadmap towards features that help solve the most important problems for customers.

Who You Are

• At least 5 years of experience working as a software engineer.
• Fundamental understanding of some of the core technologies in our stack: React (TypeScript), Python (Django), Postgres, and AWS.
• Proficiency in communicating complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bonus Points:

• Familiarity with data tools such as data warehouses (Snowflake & BigQuery), BI (Tableau, Looker & Mode), and others (dbt & Fivetran).
• Experience working in early-stage startup environments.

Office Policy:

While we welcome remote work, we believe time together in person is valuable and important. We offer ample opportunities and encourage employees to attend team offsites and events (happy hours and game nights) as well as a yearly 4-day retreat. Our office in Liberty Village is open all week. Although not mandatory, we encourage Tuesdays and Thursdays as office days and provide lunch for our team every other Friday.
