Overview

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our Research & Development (R&D) team. In this role, you will design impactful solutions that strengthen the connection between artists, shows, and their fanbase. As the lead designer at Hive, you will play a pivotal role in understanding our customers' needs, participating in strategy building, and designing user-friendly solutions to solve real problems.

Responsibilities

• Customer Advocacy: Engage with customers to understand their workflows and advocate for their needs within the R&D team. Lead customer research and UX testing activities as needed.
• Design Leadership: Establish and iterate on foundational design processes. Contribute significantly to scaling the design team when appropriate.
• Product Design: Lead brainstorming sessions, create wireframes, explore workflows, build prototypes, and craft mockups for both new and existing features.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product and engineering teams to co-lead the Product Pod, ensuring the launch of high-quality products.
• Design Backlog and Roadmap Management: Navigate trade-offs and develop concrete plans for investments in design systems and navigational changes.
• Team Engagement: Be an integral part of a dynamic startup team, contributing to a collaborative culture.

Who You Are

• Experience: 5+ years as a UX designer on an agile product development team, working from inception to launch on customer-facing features.
• Skillset: A broad UX skillset, capable of engaging in various parts of the design lifecycle, from research and idea validation to concept development, design, and testing.
• Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills and representative work.
• Mindset: An ownership and growth mindset, with the ability to seek new opportunities and discern when to invest deeply or move quickly.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities and proficiency with tools such as Figma, Linear, GitHub, and Storybook.

Nice to Haves:

• Skills in front-end development, copywriting, or research.
• Experience in marketing technology or event marketing technology.
